Cheddar Paprika Popovers
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Rich & Creamy Melt® melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • ⅛ teaspoon paprika
  • Few grains ground red pepper
  1. Beat together in a medium bowl: 1 cup milk, 1 tablespoon Melt® melted, 1 cup all-purpose flour, ¼ teaspoon salt
  2. Add in one at a time, but don't overbeat: 2 large eggs
  3. Combine and set aside: ½ cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese, ⅛ teaspoon paprika, Few grains ground red pepper
  4. Preheat the oven to 450. Grease a standard 12-muffin pan with Melt®
  5. Pour one tablespoon of batter into each muffin cup. Then divide the cheese mixture among the cups
  6. Add the rest of the batter to the muffin cups, making sure not to fill more than ⅔rds full
  7. Bake at once.
  8. After 15 minutes of baking, lower the heat to 350 without opening the oven and bake another 15 to 20 minutes longer
  9. They are done when the sides are firm. If taken out too soon, they will collapse. Serve immediately.
